Biography

Jonas Holst, swedish-born singer/actor, is a versatile singer. Though classically trained at The Conservatoire Of Music in Gothenburg, he has always had a soft spot for the musical theatre.

He has devoted himself to explore the many faucets of modern musical theatre, from classical American musicals like Showboat, over modern British pieces like Phantom Of The Opera, to the more experimental scores, like John Adam’s songplay I Was Looking At The Ceililng And Then I Saw The Sky and the chamber-opera, Iphis, by Elena Catz-Chemitz.

But his classical training doesn’t deny him and makes him aptly suitable for chambermusic of every kind, and he loves performing in churches, in recitals, and with professionel choirs.
